If you prefer for an adventure there are very comfortable air-conditioned cars where you can hire, at very reasonable rates. Bus transportation
Getting to and around the municipality of Moalboal is easy. Some travel agencies offer a transportation service en route to the island. But if you are an independent traveller and want to reach Moalboal on your own, you have a lot of travel options. But the most cost-efficient way to reach Moalboal is through a bus. Travel time usually takes about 3 to 4 hours, and bus fare averages at P50.00 or about US$1 per person. From Cebu’s South Bus Terminal, one has to endure a long ride of 89 kilometres. But do not worry, because going to the south will never be a boring one for it features scenic provincial views of the mountains, rivers, and the sea-coasts.
Minibuses also operate to service Moalboal travellers. The travel fare charged by minibuses is usually cheaper than those of the buses. However, an air-conditioned minibus has higher fare rate than non-air-conditioned.
Going to the beach
Once you arrive in Moalboal, you can take a tricycle or pedicab to take you to resorts and dive centres. Tricycles and pedicabs are the common mode of transportation around the municipality.
